Cannabis Put Bluntly

This two hour online training course is designed to give participants a comprehensive understanding of what cannabis is, how its taken and what recent developments are impacting the cannabis market.

By the end of this training participants will be able to:

• Discuss the effects of THC and what experiences people may desire from cannabis
• Compare methods of consumption for people who smoke, vape or eat cannabis products
• Explain what synthetic cannabinoids are and how to avoid them
• Identify the potential harms of cannabis consumption and harm reduction advice for mitigating these

There are 25 places for each of these sessions.  We anticipate the demand for these courses to exceed the places available.  Therefore, we are asking interested staff to nominate their interest for the courses by providing your name, role (and if you currently work supporting children and young people affected by cannabis ), organisation and email address to ADPartnership@inverclyde.gov.uk.

Priority will be provided to staff working with children and young people affected by cannabis and for those to provide training to these staff groups.  The ADP team will fill places based on a set of priority criteria and a waitlist will be held for those who are interested in attending but don’t meet the criteria.  Places on the courses may then be allocated, or additional places may be brought in to meet demand.
