This training focuses on young people aged between 12 and 26 years old, who are impacted by another person’s drug or alcohol use. During the training we will explore how to best understand the needs of young people, the barriers they face, and how practitioners can respond effectively.

Working with young people affected by someone else’s alcohol or drug use is complex; getting our approach right can lead to meaningful connections and support.

This training was co-created with the Routes young people supported by Scottish Families. They will share with you, through videos and in person, the impact of growing up in a household where there is substance use and the difference good support can make.
